TB-500 MD

A modular research dossier on TB-500 — the Ac-LKKTETQ fragment of thymosin beta-4 — tiling each muscle, tendon, and regulatory finding into its own panel, with the human-data gaps and the full-length-versus-fragment caveat surfaced in plain view.

THYMOSIN BETA-4 / A PLAIN REVIEW

TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 lack good proof of healing people

Most hopeful studies used the whole protein. The short piece copies only one part, and that difference matters for your health.

TB-500 claims run ahead of the human proof

Does the short piece heal injuries in people? No fair human trial has shown that TB-500 does [13].

The compound is a lab-made piece of thymosin beta-4. The whole thymosin beta-4 protein has many linked parts, much like a chain [5].

TB-500 copies parts 17 through 23. It doesn't copy the rest of the protein.

The two also differ in size: the short piece weighs about 889 daltons, a lab unit for tiny things, while the whole protein weighs about 4,963 daltons [1]. Those weights only confirm that the two forms aren't alike.

Sellers often use findings for the whole protein to praise the short piece. The studies don't support that swap.

The strongest hopeful results still carry a catch. A close lab test showed how the whole protein joins actin, which helps cells keep their shape [1].

That test didn't show an injury healing. Mouse work found signs of heart repair [2].

Rat wounds closed 42% faster at one point and 61% faster later [3]. Other work studied stroke [4], muscle cells [7], and a torn ligament [8].

One mouse study found new muscle fibers without more strength [9]. A Phase 1 study, the first small safety check, tested the whole protein in people [6].

That human study didn't test whether the short piece heals your knee. Amounts discussed online can't fill that hole.

What Is TB-500?

What is TB-500? It's a short piece of a protein your body makes.

Scientists make the short piece in a lab. Its name points to thymosin beta-4, while 500 began as a catalog number.

TB-500 copies seven parts of a larger protein

The whole protein has many linked parts [5]. The short piece copies parts 17 through 23, so seven parts remain.

Those seven parts help the whole protein join actin inside cells. The thymosin beta-4 fragment leaves all the other parts behind.

The thymosin beta-4 link doesn't prove that TB-500 works

The letters link TB-500 to thymosin beta-4. The number says nothing about strength, dose, or healing.

Some sellers call the fragment TB1000. A second sales name doesn't add proof.

Repair studies mainly used the whole protein

Researchers tested the whole protein in wounds, muscles, ligaments, hearts, and brains [5]. Very little of that thymosin beta-4 work studied the short piece itself.

That difference can get lost in an ad. A result for the whole protein doesn't prove TB-500 will help you.

The TB-500 Peptide Leaves Most of Thymosin Beta-4 Behind

What does the TB-500 peptide copy from thymosin beta-4? It copies one short part made in a lab.

Your body doesn't make TB-500. Your body does make the larger thymosin beta-4 protein [5].

That whole protein has many linked parts. It can also break into more than one useful piece.

The TB-500 peptide keeps only one protein part. It can't be expected to do every job of the whole protein [5].

A 2026 Sports Medicine review called both forms unapproved peptides, or short chains of protein parts, for muscle and joint harm [14]. Good human safety work on TB-500 is scarce.

The brochure sounds sure. The evidence doesn't.

TB-500 may affect cell movement, but that isn't healing proof

A cell finding doesn't show that the short piece heals you

How might TB-500 affect cells? The idea comes from how the whole protein joins actin.

Actin is a protein that helps cells keep their shape and move. In one lab test, each whole thymosin beta-4 protein joined one actin part, a 1:1 match [1].

That 1:1 count describes a lab join. It doesn't tell us whether an injured person gets better.

The thymosin beta-4 fragment copies the part used for that join. The copied piece might help repair cells move toward an injury.

Animal and dish studies also linked the whole protein to new blood vessels and less scarring. No patient result proves that TB-500 does the same.

See how thymosin β4 joins actin for the study. You won't find a sound human healing result there.

Researchers proved the join only for the whole protein [1]. They haven't shown the short piece gives you the same result.

Personal reports include hopes and possible harm

What have people said after using the short piece? The effects & safety page gives their good and bad reports.

Those reports didn't come from fair trials. They can't prove a benefit, a harm, or a safe dose.
